Welcome Homebrewing and Winemaking Customers As of April 9th, 2007 we have decided to shut down www.brew-winemaking.com. Midwest Homebrewing and Winemaking Supplies decided to create this sister website in 2005 to offer other advanced features not found on our original site www.midwestsupplies.com. The feature we were most interested in offering was the option of allowing customers to create accounts, store personal information and view order history. Our initial webmaster with this website did an average job in creating the site. The site had several quirks that seemed to show up on a random basis. During the second half of 2006 we had another web design company come in and see what they could do to upgrade the site. It seemed like the quirky issues with the site had been resolved. Recently some error pages have showing up with out explanation. Due to fact that our main site www.midwestsupplies.com has operated flawlessly for 10 years, we have decided to pull the plug on www.brew-winemaking.com. We are looking for a shopping basket program for www.midwestsupplies.com that will give our customers the OPTION of creating an account that would store personal information. It seems like every 3 months another on-line merchant announces that millions of their customer's credit card numbers have been stolen by hackers. When asked, the vast majority of our current customers on www.midwestsupplies.com tell us they don't mind entering their name, address and credit card # every time they order from us. They feel this is a small price to pay to make sure ANOTHER on-line retailer doesn't have all of their personal information. Although we use HackerSafe, one of the most secure web services in the world, we would hate to be responsible for losing your information to some hacker halfway around the world.
